As Palestinians continue to clash with Israeli forces after the U.S. declaration that it would recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, injuries are on the rise.
In the Gaza Strip 16 people have been injured. Dr. Ashraf al-Qudra, spokesman for the Ministry of Health, said two civilians were injured by Israeli gunfire near the Beit Hanoun crossing, one person in the foot and the other in the shoulder.
He said that five civilians were wounded in Jabalya, one in Gaza and one in the central region of the Gaza Strip.
He said the Israeli forces had fired gas bombs at a group of demonstrators in the Farahin and Abasan areas, which are in the southern region of the Strip.
Meanwhile in West Bank, an Anadolu Agency photographer was shot in the hand by a rubber bullet as he covered clashes in the village of Billin east of Ramallah.
The photographer, Issam Rimawi, has reportedly been taken to the Ramallah Medical Center for treatment.
