The Iranian Navy Rear Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri has announced that Iran has “support” for the Qatari government, according to UAE-based the National newspaper.
The “ground is ready for development of co-operation with Qatar and we are doing our best to have stronger relations with Doha,” the Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps’ said Tuesday.
Saudi Arabia, U.A.E., Egypt and Bahrain had delivered a list of demands to Qatar that included cutting back on ties with Iran.
The Gulf Arab nations remain concerned “about Iran’s military actions in Syria, Yemen and other parts of the Arab world,” as Arab News writes.
However, Iran and Qatar restored diplomatic relations last summer.
The four states also began a boycott against Qatar last summer for alleged ties to extremist groups.
