WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump will host UAE Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, but the White House is yet to specify a date.
The announcement came after Washington said Trump would hold talks with Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani of Qatar on Tuesday.
The White House said Trump spoke on the phone with the UAE crown prince “to discuss opportunities for increasing cooperation on a range of security and economic issues.”
A statement said: “The leaders agreed that all GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) states can and should do more to increase coordination with each other and with the US to ensure the peace and prosperity of the people in the region.” AFP
It said the pair “agreed on the importance of a united GCC.”
