DUBAI: On Sunday, Oman said that it was in discourses with Georgia in regards to the ongoing episode where Omani nationals were sent back from Tbilisi, theTimes of Omanreported.
During this week, Two Omani citizens were apparently denied entry into Georgia, Oman daily, Shabiba revealed.
Due to that incident, Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Oman was in talks and negotiations with Georgian authorities.
The ministry discharged an announcement saying that other Gulf nationals were additionally denied entry.
In any case, the announcement additionally read: “The service certifies that relations with the Republic of Georgia are solid and work on the continuation and advancement of these relations is progressing.”
Under a joint understanding, Omani nationals are exempted from the pre-entry visa necessity.
In the mean time, prior this month the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it is firmly following up via web-based networking media reports of natives being subjected to “abuse” at Georgia’s airplane terminals.
An announcement posted by UAE news agency (WAM) said: “The ministry, alongside the UAE Embassy in Tbilisi, are genuinely observing the issue and giving it an incredible thought.”
