Yemen’s foreign minister tells Lebanon government to “rein in” Hezbollah and its forceful strategies

BEIRUT: Yemen’s foreign minister tells Lebanon government to “rein in” Hezbollah and its forceful strategies in support of the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.

khalid Hussein Al-Yamani said in a letter to Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil: “The Republic of Yemen maintains whatever authority is needed to introduce the issue to the Arab League, the Organization of the Islamic Conference and the Security Council.” The substance of the letter were broadcast by Sky News.

Al-Yamani said that Hezbollah’s help for the Houthis was obvious in an ongoing broadcast address by its Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, who approached the Houthis to battle the Yemeni government powers, and communicated “his gathering’s aspiration to battle in Yemen againstthe internationally recognized legitimate authority.
