BEIRUT: On Sunday, Syrian government forces took control of a village in Quneitra province, their first progress against insurgents in the district abutting the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights since propelling a noteworthy hostile in the southwest, a war monitor reported.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said: “The village of Mashara, about 11 km (7 miles), from the Golan frontier was caught after substantial shelling.”
In addition, Government forces likewise shelled the town of Al-Haara in neighboring Daraa region, it said. The government, upheld by the Russian military, has caught the majority of Daraa territory in the hostile that started in June.
