ALEPPO: On Sunday, Syrian state media said that a Syrian military position was bombed by Israeli missiles near Nairab airport on the edges of the city of Aleppo.
Syrian state news office SANA stated, citing a military source: “The report said the strikes had targeted military sites north of Nairab airport,” causing “only material damage.”
It also said the the strikes were an endeavor by Israel to help rebels in southern Syria, where Syrian government forces have been pursuing a hostile.
Israel, worried that Iran’s developing nearness in Syria is a danger to its security, has struck many Iranian and Iran-backed positions in Syria through the span of the seven-year struggle.
