BEIRUT – On Thursday, Syrian state media said that air defences had demolished an “hostile target” west of the capital Damascus.

The middle east affairs stated, quoting a military source: “Our air defences faced an unfriendly target and demolished it west of Damascus.”

President Bashar al-Assad’s forces loyal have recouped the greater part of the nation from agitators and aggressors after over seven long periods of common war, helped by Russian air power and Iran-backed militias.

On the other hand, Israel, worried that Iran’s developing nearness in Syria represents a danger to its security, has struck many Iranian and Iran-supported positions in Syria through the span of the seven-year strife.

An Israeli military spokeswoman declined to comment on the SANA report.

Additionally, Israel said on Thursday that it killed Islamic State extremists who moved toward its fringe subsequent to being crushed out of southwestern Syria by Syrian powers.
