Wilfried Zaha signs new five-year Crystal Palace contract


wilfried Zaha has committed his future to Crystal Palace by signing a new five-year contract with the club.

Zaha, 25, has been with Palace since the age of 12 and has made 288 appearances for the club, scoring 44 goals.

The Ivory Coast international was heavily linked with a move away from the club in the recent transfer window with bothChelseaandTottenham Hotspurrumoured to be interested.

The forward has now committed his future until 2023 with a new five-year contract, which is reported to be worth £130,000-a-week.

He told the club’s website “I’m very pleased. Obviously, I just wanted to get it over and done with, so I can just focus on the season. I’m buzzing that we managed to get it sorted.”

He follows managerRoy Hodgsonin signing a new deal.

Zaha has won Palace’s Player of the Year award for the last three seasons and scored in Saturday’s opening day 2-0 victory overFulham.

His next goal will see him become Palace’s all-time top scorer in the Premier League.
