On Friday, the United States cut funding to a U.N. organization that backings Palestinian refugees, saying its plan of action and monetary practices were an “irredeemably imperfect activity.”
State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said in a statement: “The organization has precisely checked on the issue and established that the United States won’t make extra commitments to UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency).”
“The organization’s “unendingly and exponentially growing network of entitled recipients is basically unsustainable and has been in emergency mode for a long time,” she said.
“We gives administrations to in regards to 5 million Palestinian displaced people. Most are relatives from people who fled Palestine in the 1948 war that prompted the production of the territory of Israel,” UNRWA said.
