French energy group Total <TOTF.PA> and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) have agreed to launch a gas exploration programme in the high potential Diyab site, Total said on Monday.
ADNOC had earlier said on Sunday that it had agreed to give Total a 40 percent stake in the Ruwais Diyab gas concession.
The concession allows for two exploration and appraisal phases for a period of up to seven years, followed by a 40-year development and production period, said Total.
