Egypt’s Suez Canal revenues rise to $471.8 million in December – govt website

ISMAILIA (Reuters) – Egypt’s Suez Canal revenues rose to $471.8 million in December from $461.5 million in November, data from the cabinet’s website showed on Monday.

The figure was up slightly over the December 2017 revenues of $471.5 million. The canal is the fastest shipping route between Europe and Asia and one of the government’s main sources of foreign currency.
