An open letter to Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas)
My brother Abu Mazen
We, the leadership and the people, are facing a defining moment in the history of our cause. We must give up what separates us and return to what unites us so that we stand together in defense of the rights and sanctities of our people.
We may all be facing the most critical fateful decisions. However, in reality, your responsibility is greater and more dangerous in the face of this American-Israeli conspiracy called “the deal of the century,” those who will declare it believe that time will ensure that our people are subject to acceptance as a fait accompli. However, they are ignorant of our people’s pure mineral and militant toughness.
Yes, we are all responsible, but the primary responsibility lies with you with all the sources of decision, and the eyes of our people are looking at you, waiting for the decisions and stances to be taken that embody the long struggle of our people, and the sacrifices of the convoys of martyrs and captives of our blessed revolution.
Our people are awaiting decisive decisions that will become a locomotive of Arab and international bearings, and therefore we should without delay come out to the world with a clear and decisive stand that cannot be interpreted,
I tell you with confidence, that it’s in your hand you can break the chains of this conspiracy, and turn the table over the heads of its masters. I tell you with confidence that you will find all our glorious people next to you, so do not hesitate, for we have nothing in their possession except the theft of our land, the desecration of our sanctities and demolishing it, and the scattering of our rights in the mazes of time.
They believe but are betting, that your reaction will not be different from the previous times, and that you will be satisfied with issuing statements of refusal, condemnation, and condemnation, and call for a series of Arab and international meetings, and this is our right and our duty. However, my brother, we must first activate the stocks of our strength and take critical historical decisions. We go all over the world, demanding to recognize the legitimacy of our decisions.
We must declare the establishment of our state, the state of Palestine, on the borders of June 4, 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital, under Resolution No. 19/19 of the United Nations General Assembly, Yes, we declare it a Palestinian state under occupation as a substitute for all the agreements, understandings and restrictions of the Oslo Accords, according to which we abolish the document of mutual recognition and security coordination, then after that we work to our utmost to get the world to recognize our decisions and provide the necessary international protection for our people and our occupied state.
My brother Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas)
Today you may be in front of the most critical moment in your life. Rather, everything that has passed in a cuff, and what you will decide today in a more massive cuff, and today is not and will not be like any other day.
Today you need the people, and you can revive their turmoil. Our people will respond to you if you do, and it will be unfortunate that the people’s concerns be in one place, and the leaders’ movement in another area and your natural place today is in the position of the action, not the reaction, remember the faces of all your brothers martyrs, all the pain of the refugees and the displaced, all of those who are in captive and the wounded, look well to the domes and walls of Jerusalem, to our villages and our churches and its bells, see in the eyes of our children, look in the eyes of your grandchildren and then decide, if you decide that you are with Palestine we are with you, and nothing will separate us.
