DUBAI’S PUBLIC BEACHES HAVE REOPENED. HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT

Dubai Municipality has announced the reopening of JBR beach, Al Mamzar, Jumeirah and Umm Suqeim beaches from today, Friday 29 May 2020.

 

Graziawas among the first at Kite Beach after the 6am curfew ended and in addition to the social-distancing messaging asking visitors to remain at a distance of 2 metres apart on the running track, we were greeted with signage requesting us to: maintain physical distancing of a mininum of 2 metres even while sunbathing; remind us that wearing a face mask is compulsory; and inform us that swimming is allowed.

Benches and communal seating areas continue to be out of bounds to protect against COVID-19, but food trucks and cafés are open with reminders to: wear a face mask; wear disposable gloves; social distance and use hand santiser when you arrive and as you leave.
