Coronavirus vaccines will be optional and free to all citizens and residents of Kuwait, the Gulf state’s prime minister said on Wednesday, in comments reported in al-Qabas newspaper.
Prime Minister Sabah al-Khalid al-Sabah was speaking at a meeting of various ministers.
On Wednesday, the Kuwaiti health ministry reported 268 new coronavirus cases and one COVID-19-related death.
The number of coronavirus recoveries in the country rose by 509 to 138,134 over the past 24 hours, according to a statement by the health ministry.
