Jordan records 30 deaths and 2,339 new coronavirus cases


Jordan has recorded 30 deaths and 2,339 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 259,614.

The death toll has risen to 3,365.

The cases are: 

– 910 in Amman

– 249 in Balqa

– 132 in Zarqa

– 64 in Tafilah

– 36 in Ajlun

– 16 in Ma’an, including 11 in Petra

– 579 in Irbid, including 46 in Ramtha

– 160 in Karak

– 115 in Aqaba

– 13 in Jerash

– Six in Mafraq

A total of 112 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 83 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 37,782 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 5,123 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 218,467.

There are 1,206 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 18,712 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,829,006.

Sunday, 12.5 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
