Palestine recorded 17 deaths and new 1,639 COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Sunday.
The new deaths involved two in Nablus; four in Jenin; one in Tulkarm; two in Bethlehem; one in Salfit; one in Ramallah and al-Bireh; and six in Gaza Strip.
The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 79 percent, while the active case rate is 20.1 percent and the death rate is 0.9 percent.
The new coronavirus cases include 168 in Hebron; 163 in Jenin; 245 in Nablus; 127 in Tulkarm; 253 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 29 in Salfit; 52 in Qalqilya; 31 in Tubas; 85 in Bethlehem; 18 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 62 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; and 406 in Gaza Strip.
The recovery cases included 209 in Hebron; 218 in Jenin; 118 in Nablus; 104 in Tulkarem; 277 in Bethlehem; 93 in Salfit; 43 in Tubas; 89 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 11 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 125 in Qalqilya; and 718 in Gaza Strip.
Currently, 93 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 30 are on ventilators.
