Palestine recorded 23 deaths and 822 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Friday.
The new deaths involved 15 in the West Bank and eight in the Gaza Strip.
The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 88.6 percent, while the active case rate is 10.4 percent and the death rate is one percent.
The new coronavirus cases included 11 in Tubas; 20 in Qalqilya; 46 in Tulkarem; 25 in Jenin; 63 in Nablus; 15 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 59 in Ramallah; 37 in Hebron; 24 in Bethlehem; 24 in Salfit; six in Jericho; and 499 in Gaza Strip.
The recovery cases included 20 in Tubas; 55 in Tulkarem; 22 in Qalqiya; 143 in Ramallah; 266 in Nablus; 79 in Hebron; 12 in Jericho; 97 in Jenin; 23 in Salfit; and 790 in Gaza Strip.
Currently, 105 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 25 are on ventilators.
A total of 4,007 PCR tests were conducted.
