MEA – The ceasefire came into effect in the Gaza Strip at 2 am today, Friday, 11 days after the Israeli aggression on the Strip, which was mediated by the Arab Republic of Egypt.
On Thursday evening, the Arab Republic of Egypt issued an official statement regarding the ceasefire initiative between the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli occupation. The statement said, “Under Egyptian auspices, a mutual and simultaneous ceasefire agreement was reached in the Gaza Strip, starting at 2 am Friday morning, corresponding to May 21 Palestine time.”
The Palestinian masses celebrated at dawn today, Friday, the victory of the Palestinian resistance, and with the entry of the second hour of the morning on Friday, the masses went to the Gaza Strip and in the territories of the homeland from Hebron to occupied Jerusalem to celebrate the victory of the resistance over the occupation.
The Palestinian resistance and its successors forced the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the popular gift in occupied Jerusalem and the cities, towns and camps of the West Bank and the occupied territories in 1948, forcing the occupation to accept a ceasefire, after 11 days of aggression.
The people of the Gaza Strip spontaneously took to the streets and among the rubble of destroyed houses and towers, celebrating the end of the Israeli aggression and affirming the resistance approach and the achievements it has achieved within 11 days of violent confrontations.
Similar celebrations took place in the cities of the occupied Palestinian West Bank and the territories of the year 48, as our people marched randomly and chanted slogans in support of the resistance, the Gaza Strip and its steadfastness.
